Benjamin Wade Cheatham passed away Sunday, March 1, in Tyler, at the age of 49, after a long, difficult illness. He lived much of his life in East Texas. He attended school in White House, where toward the end he lived in Winona for the last years. He was an amazing mechanic. He also loved motorcycles, fast cars, and fishing.
Ben is proceeded in death by his father James Newton Cheatham, his nephew Justin Ray Coslett. He is survived by his mother, Rebecca, Jane Childress, stepfather Mathew Childress, sister, Teresa, Gail Cheatham, son Alan, James Cheatham, daughter Sophia, Rebecca, Renee Cheatham and daughter Britney Nicole Cheatham he was also very much loved by his aunt Minnie Cheatham and two nephews Luke and Mathew Hogenmiller. He had many cousins’ family and friends.
Ben loved many things but the thing he loved the most was time spent with his children. He most definitely loved his kids. He had an amazing heart of gold and a generous, loving and giving nature. We will be celebrating his life Saturday, March 14 at 2 o’clock at the Church of living Hope in Tyler 3308 Mineola Highway there will be food afterward. Everyone is welcome if you would like to bring a cover dish that’s fine. Pastor David Herndon will be presiding over the service Ben left this world not knowing how very much he was loved and he will be missed. I love you son until we see each other again.
