Bettie Shamburger Malone, age 86, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday morning, March 19, 2026. She was born on November 25, 1939, in Smith County to the late Paul E. and Mildred McKnight Shamburger and lived in the Tyler area all her life.
Bettie devoted many years to working at her family’s rose-growing business, Shamburger Nursery, and was also employed by C.L. Woods Plumbing Company and Maxwell Herring Drilling Company. She found great joy in playing bridge and mahjong, and she especially cherished the time she spent attending and hosting Bible studies.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, K.R. “Ronnie” Malone; her daughter, Cathy Diane Cooper; her brother, Bob Shamburger; and her son-in-law, Ronnie Allen.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Glenn and Cammie Broyles; her daughter, Julie Allen; her sister-in-law, Jon Shamburger; her stepdaughter and her husband, Melanie and Colt Weaver; and her stepson, K.R. “Ronnie” Malone II. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Siara Schrock, Brice Broyles and his wife, Ally; Brock Broyles; Nick Allen and his wife, Shealyn; and Krissy Allen; six great-grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family members and dear friends.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved. Our hearts are comforted in knowing she is now in Heaven with her Lord, reunited with those who have gone before her.
