Cheryl Lynn Rogers (Poole), age 67, of Tyler, Texas, passed away July 13, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday afternoon, August 14, 2026, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard, to begin at 2:00pm. Mr. Marvin Watson will officiate the service.
Cheryl was born April 15, 1959, in Louisiana to her parents, David Franklin Poole and Margie Louise Poole.
She was raised her whole life in Athens, TX where she graduated from high school. She loved arts and crafts and had a passion for painting in her younger years. Cheryl even had one of her paintings hung in the state capital in Austin many years ago.
She worked for the state of Texas helping people with their benefits. When she retired, she lived with her daughter, Jessi, son-in-law, Devin, and granddaughter, Hazel, who she loved spending her time with.
She loved to garden and watch the hummingbirds eat. Above all else, she loved being “Nana Gigi” to her 2 grandchildren.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by her. So young and gone too soon.
She is preceded in death by her parents, David Franklin and Margie Louise Poole. She is survived by her daughter, Jessi Jackson, son-in-law, Devin Barnes, grandchildren Hazel Henshaw and Dayton Barnes, sister, Peggy Smith, cousins Nathan and Jackie Roark, and multiple other cousins, as well.
