On Sunday, December 14, 2025, Christian Maines passed from his earthly body into the arms of Jesus.  Christian Lee Maines was born on October 1, 2007, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas to Stefanie Nicks and James Porter. He is survived by his parents, Dustin and Marissa Maines and sister Alicia Maines.   Other surviving family members include siblings Isabelle, Elizabeth, LeNora, Addalyn, and Ezmerelda Maines; Eric and Kayla Maines; Cheyanne Maines; Tamara Maines; Justin Reed; ; Tristan Porter and Hailey Porter; great  grandmother Donna Christian; uncle and aunt Chad and Melissa Porter; grandmother Ann Zimmerman; grandparents Robert and Jamelle Smith; aunt and uncle Julia and Cole Warren; an abundance of nieces and nephews, friends and his Bar None youth group.

Chrisitan was preceded in death by great-grandparents Jay and Fay Thornburg; great- Grandfather Pete Costlow; great-grandfather Ricky Dean; and great-grandparents Nancy, Richard, and Richy Smith. Christian was cherished by many, loved by all who knew him, and will be greatly missed.

Christian was a caring, hardworking, considerate, talkative, smart, goofy, and lovable young man.  His legacy will live on through the donation of his organ tissues to help provide life for others.

Christian was a born-again believer by the grace of God.  He was baptized on September 3, 2023, with his dad, Dustin, by his side at Bar None Cowboy Church. He had a very strong and encouraging faith and loved to worship with his friends and youth group. He was passionate about serving his church, especially helping with Walk Through Bethlehem, buck-outs, and other church events. He loved riding bulls, football, band, fishing, and mechanics.

A memorial service to honor the life of Christian and share the same hope he found will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the main building of Bar None Cowboy Church 9162 State Highway 43 E Tatum, Texas 75691.
