Dianna Lynn Starks, 71, of Lindale, Texas passed from this earth on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in Tyler, Texas. She was born May 6, 1951 in Tyler, Texas, and lived all of her life in the Tyler area. 

Mrs. Starks was a 1969 graduate from Chapel Hill High School, and retired from Suddenlink Communications after a long career serving in secretarial services. 

Mrs. Starks was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Bonnie Whitaker and her brother, David Whitaker. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Randolph Starks of Lindale, her children Robert Starks and wife Brandy Starks of Tyler, Gary Starks and wife Terri Starks of Lindale, sister Teresa Whitaker of Tyler; three grandchildren, Dustin Starks of Tyler, Lane Starks of Tyler, and Kaylee Starks of Lindale, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Dianna was a woman of many interests, but more importantly she knew how to love the simple things in life. She loved sunflowers and cardinals. She made sure to point out every one she saw so that anyone around her could see their beauty like she did. Nothing meant more to her than being with her family. She brought a smile to every room, could make dark days bright, carried a laugh that was sure to be contagious, and gave hugs that got warmer with each she gave. 

Her family has planned a celebration of her life to be held at a time that is soon to be announced.
