Services for Douglas Jeffrey Coates "Jeff", 62, of Tyler, will be held on Saturday, August 26th, 2017, at 10:00 am at Tyler Presbyterian Church with Pastor John H. Johnson of Tyler, Texas, officiating. Jeff Coates passed Monday morning, August 21st, 2017, after a long and hard fight with cancer. He was born March 28, 1955 in Los Angeles County, Ca. to David & Irene Coates. Proceeded in death by David & Irene Coates, and his daughter Jennifer. Survived by his loving wife Abigail Lynn Coates and his children, Ryan, Nicholas, Michael, Blake and Lindsey. Jeff's siblings include, Mike, Dan, Barbara, Kerry and Colleen. His grandchildren Hannah, Kameron, Lily, Westley, Charlie and Luke. With his many nieces and nephews and his surviving family members, the larger than life personality of Jeff Coates will live on. "Jesus has been working on a wonderful landscape in Heaven just for Jeff."
