Glenna Lifsey

Our mom, who was born Glenna Phillips Trew on January 24,1932 to Frank Glen Trew and Helen Frances Obermeier Trew in Detroit MI, passed away on March 19, 2022.

Mom married Robert Johnson Lifsey Jr. on December 15, 1951. They lived in Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, and finally retired to Tyler, TX in 1994

Mom and Dad were married on December 15, 1951. They were married for 64 years before Dad passed in 2016.

Mom loved God and her family. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, working with the church, decorating and cooking, especially for the holidays (Christmas was always over the top). Mom was passionate about our family’s genealogy and the planning of

family reunions. She also liked to read old books, work jigsaw puzzles, enjoyed singing, especially with the church, and she enjoyed the socialization of Terrific Tuesdays, offered by the Alzheimer
Alliance of Smith County.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers John Trew, his wife Katherine, and Dick Trew; her sister Nancy Trew Lance, her husband Harold Lance; and brother-in-law David Foley. She is survived by her sister Sally Duford Foley, and sister-in-law Judy Trew; grandchildren Tasha Lindt, Amber Uhl, Patrick Sizemore, Adrienne Sizemore, Claire Brown, Camille Stevens and Helen Trew Sizemore; and 6 great-grandchildren, Emmy Vu, Mara Uhl, Rose Uhl, Robbie Brown, Charles Stevens, and Wyatt Stevens. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.

We, her children, Roberta and Mark Gustafson, Phil and Nansi Lifsey, and Michele Sizemore invite you

to join us for a time of reminiscing and celebrating the life of our mom, Glenna Lifsey, at a Remembrance Reception held at 2:00 pm on Friday April 1st at Shiloh Road Church of Christ in Tyler, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, Glenna would have appreciated donations to one of her favorite charities listed below.
