Henry "Herky" Stadelman, age 72, of Oakwood, Texas, passed away on January 29, 2026. Born on August 28, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Herky was a man of great character, defined by his grit, his steady hands, and an adventurous spirit.
Herky was a man who believed in the value of a job well done, working hard throughout his entire life. He was known as an extremely capable mechanic who could fix just about anything with an engine. Whether he was solving a complex mechanical puzzle or fine-tuning a machine, his talent and dedication were unmatched.
A devoted husband, father, and brother, Herky balanced his tireless work ethic with a deep love for his family and his many passions. He was an enthusiast of cowboy action shooting and found his greatest sense of freedom on the open road riding his Harley. When the tools were put away, he was happiest listening to country music and spending quality time with those he loved most.
Herky’s legacy of capability, kindness, and unbridled enthusiasm for life will be forever carried forward by his family and the many friends who respected his craft and his character.
Henry is preceded by his Father, Henry Francis Stadelman, Sr., Brother, Guy Stadelman, and Sister, Christine Rowe.
Henry is survived by his Wife, Susan Stadelman, Daughter, Stephanie Walker, Mother, Theresa Stadelman, Brother, Bernie Stadelman, and Brother, Tony (Nino) Stadelman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday afternoon, February 20, 2026, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard to begin at 1:00pm. Deacon Dan Rose will officiate the service.
