Kathleen Nancy Witt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on May 19th surrounded by family who adored her. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Harry and Hazel Rex, Kathleen spent her early years in Big Lake, Texas, before eventually making her home in East Texas. It was there she met and married the love of her life, Billy Witt.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Patty Gentry and Peggy McMullan, and her son-in-law Dudley Murray. She is survived by her devoted husband Billy Witt; her children Lisa Murray, Nancy Flournoy and husband Joe, and Chris Witt; her grandchildren Kristi and Clay Martin, Chance and Madison Wimberly, Shay and Robert MacPherson, Justin Murray, Whitney and Jarred McCallister, and Brandy and Britt Austin; and her 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Debbie Picket, and husband Randall.
Kathleen was a remarkable woman who loved deeply—especially her family and her animals. Whether it was supporting her husband on the farm while he baled hay or proudly showing off her freshly done hair and nails paired with her favorite boots, Kathleen brought style, strength, and warmth wherever she went. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
