Kenneth Boyd McCaslin

Kenneth Boyd McCaslin, 56, passed from this world to join our Savior March 21st, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Kenny was Born in Angleton, TX on June 8, 1965 to Elton and Elizabeth (Mattison) McCaslin. He graduated from Angleton high in 1983 and then went on to Texas A&M. From there, Kenny worked in the poultry industry, spending 26 years in various upper management positions at Pilgrim’s Pride, Sanderson Farms, and Tyson.

While attending A&M, Kenny met his wife Ramona (Mueller). Shortly after a year of meeting, the two got married and spent the first years of marriage in Pittsburg, TX. Their family grew welcoming in their daughters Kristen and Mackenzie and son Steven eventually making East Texas their home.

Throughout adulthood, Kenny was passionate in helping both his children and those throughout his community with various 4H and FFA projects. If he wasn’t in a stock show barn, you could easily find him by looking up his kids’ sports schedules, seeing if the deer are in rut, or finding out where the fish are biting. He was very active with his close friends and family always involving them in his favorite activities and putting them first.

Kenny is survived by his wife Ramona, mother Elizabeth McCaslin, brother Elton (Sonny) McCaslin and his wife Sherry, brother Monte McCaslin and his wife Kristen, daughter Kristen Burnett and her husband Bo, son Steven McCaslin and his wife Sarah with their daughter Olivia, daughter Mackenzie McCaslin, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father Elton McCaslin, His grandparents Elvin Reel McCaslin and his spouse Myrtle (Canants), Grandparents Jesse Derrel Mattison and his wife Earla (Beekman), as well as all of his beloved uncles, aunts, and other extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Huntington Saturday, March 26th at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you give to a “College Fund” for Mackenzie. An account has been set up at UBank Huntington, TX with account #103134854.
