Lawrence Michael (Mike) Largen

Lawrence Michael (Mike) Largen, 70, of Rusk, Texas passed away on April 19, 2025.  Mike was born in Louisville, KY on December 1,1954 to the late Lawrence T. Largen and Marcella Flint Largen.  He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of thirteen years, Shirley Jones Gipson, brother, Brian Largen, niece, Jamie Hester, and his grandparents.

Mike worked in his father’s plumbing business before becoming a long-haul truck driver where he met the love of his life, Shirley.

He is survived by his sisters, Lynda Lange, Brenda Largen, and Lisa (Bryan) Figg, his two nephews, Jeremy Lange and Josh Hester, and two nieces, Hannah (Ricardo Sosa) Figg and Emma Figg.

Special thanks to Shirley’s niece, Tonie Suarez, who has been taking care of him since August 23, 2023, becoming a close family member.

Mike, you are loved and will be missed.
