Mary Jean Cannon, 80, of Jacksonville, passed through Heaven's Gate on Tuesday evening, June 30, 2026. A Graveside Ceremony will be held on Tuesday morning, July 7, 2026, at Meador Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas, to begin at 10:00am. Pastor T.J. Harkness will officiate the service.
Mary spent her entire life in the Jacksonville/Tecula area, where she built lasting friendships and was loved by all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched countless lives.
Mary dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she lovingly cared for hundreds of young children during her decades of service at The Knee-High Village Day Care Center. The children entrusted to her care held a special place in her heart, and she treated them with the same compassion and affection she showed her own family.
Mary’s selfless nature and giving spirit were evident in everything she did. She found joy in helping others and was a blessing to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family and community will be remembered and cherished forever.

Mary is survived by her loving Husband, William Cannon, Son, Russ Cannon (Sarah), Son, Ryan Cannon (Jennifer), Granddaughter, Lauren Fueshko, Granddaughter, Courtney Cannon, and Grandson, Corbin Cannon.
