In the early morning hours of October 17^th, 2020 Mary Jo Humbert, born August 24^th, 1944 (Age 76), passed from sleep into the arms of Jesus. A native Texan by birth, she lived out most of her life in beautiful Kentucky where she spent a good amount of time farming and raising various animals which she treated like family. She was a lover of knowledge and earned a bachelor’s degree from Cottey College in Nevada, MO in the early sixties. As a Vocational Evaluator, much of her life was spent helping intellectually disabled individuals live to their full potential. However, learning did not stop there as most days she learned something new watching documentaries or National Geographic, which was her favorite. She was a colorful individual with a warrior spirit. She loved and adored her family. Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents Geo. Clinton Humbert and Mildred Strong. She is survived by her only child Frank Trusty, who she cared for with unsurpassed love and sacrifice, and daughter-in-love Sonja of Hooks, TX. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Bryndan (and Brandy) Thomas, Alecia (and Johney) Stephens, and Andrew (and Kristina J.) Preston. As well as an incalculable number of great-grandchildren, and several other cherished family members. As per her wishes we will not be holding any services at this time. We will remember her everyday as the vibrant individual that she was.
