Mary Spears-Robles

It is with a deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Spears-Robles, of Elkhart Tx.  Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, devoted wife and friend to many.  Mary was born in the Houston area on 10/12/1954 and entered eternal life with our heavenly Father on January 4, 2024 at the age of 69.

Mary  was a devoted Christian who would praise Jesus on a daily basis.  Her favorite book of the bible was Isaiah.  Isaiah 57:1-2: Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time.  But no one seems to care or wonder why.  No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come.  For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

Mary was a homemaker who raised her three children with all her heart and soul.  Her greatest joy was attending all the family gatherings, and watching her grandchildren in all their sporting activities.  She loved to share the Gospel in song with her  son, daughter-in-law, and her granddaughters at the Elkhart Oaks nursing home where she was a resident.  She was married to Gilbert "Gil" Robles on April 10, 2021.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents W. Elbert and Arlene (Bussa) Coleman of Palestine, brother James Coleman of Palestine, Quentin Spears of Mo, Robert Spears of Ks., Johnny Spears of Tx. A.E. Spears of Tx. and one sister Shirley Stowe of Tx.

Survivors of Mary include her husband Gil of Frankston, son Kenneth "Scott" Rutledge of Elkhart Oaks Nursing home, Elkhart Tx., Brent (Cara) Lawson of Palestine Tx., daughter Brandy (Brad) Adams of Mountain Home Ak., Angie (Kevin)  Simmons of Dallas Tx.,  Natalie Robles Oklahoma City Ok., sister Brenda Quintana and Husband of Dallas Tx. and Rhonda Dennis-Harold of Ok.  15  grandchildren whom were all the apple of her eye and who she would spoil like any grandmother would do.  Many nieces and nephews and all her furbabies at home and her "grand fur babies".

A celebration of life for Mary will be held on Satruday, January 20th, at 11am.  at The Garden located behind St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church; 1379 N. Frankston Hwy, Franston Tx.  Officiating will be done by Pastor Billy Martin of Rocky Mound Baptist Church.
