Robert Eugene Smith, 50, of Chandler, passed from this earth to his eternal home with Jesus on Thursday, January 22, 2026. A celebration of life for Rob is scheduled on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Flint Baptist Church in Flint. Visitation will be on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and the Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m.
Rob was born on November 17, 1975 in Dallas, Texas to Connie Snyder and Jeff Smith. He graduated from Mesquite High School in 1994. He obtained his associates degree in business from TVCC. Rob has worked as a Real Estate Agent, but most of his career has been in the Oil and Gas Industry, working as a Landman, a Project Manager, and a business owner. He was invested in the lives of his fellow workers, whom he counted as friends.
Rob met Stephanie on December 6th, went out on their 1st date 2 days later, and the rest is history. They married on August 4, 2001 and 5 years later started a family. Together they enjoyed the motorcycle ministry, traveling, and new adventures.
Rob lived a life of integrity, compassion, and joy. Early in life he learned the importance of hard work and he continued to work hard to ensure his family had everything they needed. He faced challenges with admirable strength and determination for a positive outcome. He always had a warm smile, an infectious laugh, and a kind and helpful spirit to brighten anyone’s day. Rob leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, courage, gentle nature, and unwavering commitment to family. He was a pillar of strength and guidance in every way. He provided a sense of security and instilled strong values in his children.
Rob enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and watching family and friends enjoy life. He was a master at smoking brisket, and he loved to cook! He was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, and friend who found joy in the little things.
Left to cherish Rob’s memory are his wife Stephanie and children Garrett Eugene and Meagan D’Ann, all of Chandler. He is also survived by his mother Connie Dworaczyk, of Chandler, and his father Jeff and wife Elaine, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, in-laws, a host of cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
The family gladly accepts flowers or invites donations to the GoFundMe account (account information below), which will support the college funds for Garrett and Meagan, in loving memory of Rob and with faith in God’s provision.
