Robert Wallace McNiece

Robert (Bob) Wallace McNiece, 92, of Jacksonville, passed away at his home on Thursday afternoon, August 13, 2026. A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted on Tuesday morning, August 18, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Texas, to begin at 11:00am. Father Jay Lucas will officiate the service under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Bob was born in Houston, Texas, on January 10, 1934, to parents George and Gladys McNiece. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. After honorably serving his country - Bob pursed University course work that enabled him to enjoy a long career as a Corrosion Engineer – utilizing this skill set to serve a very broad variety of industries throughout his life. Bob married the love of his life, Lynda, and together they created a beautiful life and family. Bob was never afraid of hard work – and was always proud of his family and their accomplishments. Bob was a Charter member of the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart, Conroe, Texas. Bob was an Avid golfer in Panorama and met many fantastic people. Bob played in the very first Par-Tee Classic golf tournament.  Bob was a lifetime member of the Montgomery County Fair Association and chairman of the rabbit committee for many years. Bob was an avid personal pilot and loved to fly. Bob was a member of the original Panorama Volunteer Fire Department. Bob loved his family dearly – and he will be missed by all.

Bob is preceded by his Wife, Lynda Beth McNiece, Father, George William McNiece, Mother, Gladys Angelia McNiece. and Grandson's, Eric and David Hennessy

Bob is survived by his Son, Robert George McNiece, Son, David Wallace McNiece, Son, Richard Ward McNiece (Kim), Daughter, Judy McNiece Hennessy Michael), 9 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, and Brother & Sister In-law, Denny George (Nora).

Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Hennessy, Daniel Hennessy, Seth Hennessy, Clayton Henson, Conner Henson, and Kevin Stidham.
