Teresa Kay Wishard Lieske

Teresa Kay Wishard Lieske, 50, of Chandler, TX went to be with her Heavenly Father on the Lords Day, Sunday February 13, 2022 in Tyler, TX.   Teresa was a lifelong child of God being baptized in 1984 at the Oak Ridge Church of Christ in Ladonia, TX.   She was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ in Tyler, where she served as the church secretary since 2013.   Teresa loved talking to and visiting church members, assisting members with any needs and generally brightening their day.   She died safe in the faith of our Loving God and received her eternal home in Heaven.

Teresa was born on June 7, 1971 in San Angelo, TX.  She grew up in the Paris area and in 1989 graduated from Paris High School.   In 1993, she graduated from Texas A & M University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.   After graduation, Teresa held various accounting positions in the Tyler area.  Teresa met and later married her husband, Edward Thomas Lieske in 1996, and they resided in Chandler, TX.   They had one son, Matthew Wishard Lieske, born in 2000.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Joe Donald Wishard, grandparents Robert and Joyce Wishard, and grandparents Ervin and Deane Arnold.   She is survived by her husband, Edward and son, Matthew of Chandler, her mother Sylvia Arnold Wishard of Bugtussle, TX, sister Sherry Parson and husband Brent and daughter Kristen of Arthur City, and sister Julie Anderson and husband Zac and son Joseph of College Station, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and church brothers and sisters in Christ.

She will always be remembered as a faithful Christian, wife, mother, friend and the perfect example of a virtuous woman from the Book of Proverbs.  Her earthly family feels the tremendous loss of a loved one, but her heavenly family rejoices in her homecoming as a child of God.

Visitation will be Friday, February 18, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm, at the Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard, TX.  Services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10 am at the Broadway Church of Christ in Tyler, TX.   After which the family will hold a private graveside service at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ladonia, TX.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to the Oak Ridge Cemetery Association, 761 CR 3475, Honey Grove, TX  75446.
